Your child has been in a road accident, fall, or any physical trauma
You suspect your child has swallowed a medication, household chemical, or unknown substance
A sudden one-sided weakness of the face, arm, or leg
Multiple organs seem to be affected simultaneously
Your child was found unconscious or unresponsive
High fever with neck stiffness, vomiting, and sensitivity to light

A seizure (fit) lasting more than 5 minutes, or multiple fits in a short time

Multi-Organ Failure

When two or more vital organ systems (heart, lungs, kidneys, liver) fail simultaneously, requiring comprehensive PICU management with organspecific support

Polytrauma

Children involved in road traffic accidents or major falls often sustain injuries to multiple organ systems; Dr. Shah coordinates care across surgical and medical specialties

Crush Injuries

Serious injuries from heavy objects that can cause muscle breakdown (rhabdomyolysis), kidney failure, and compartment syndrome

Poisoning in Children

Children are at high risk of accidental ingestion of medications, pesticides, household chemicals, and plants. Dr. Shah has a special interest in pediatric toxicology and manages all forms of poisoning with evidence-based protocols

Severe Pneumonia

When pneumonia causes respiratory failure requiring ventilator support and intensive management

Our Approach

Complex cases require calm leadership, multidisciplinary coordination, and experience. Dr. Shah has managed over 1,350 critical pediatric cases. He holds an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Instructor certification — meaning he not only practises trauma care but teaches it to other doctors. Every child is treated as an individual, and families are kept closely involved throughout the process.
